Never A Dull Moment
The privately owned villa is located in the gated community of Los Perros adjacent to the resort of Rancho Santana — whose facilities include a restaurant, bar, pool, spa, horseback riding, tennis and clubhouse looking out over a mile-long beach, a favorite for sunning and surfing, all available to guests at Los Perros. There is also a nearby 9 hole golf course that is open to visitors.

The Beaches:
The beaches, with their dramatic landscapes, are magnificent. Each beach is unique and magical in its own way.
Whether it’s snorkeling at Playa Duna, swimming at Los Perros, spending the day at Playa Rosada, picnicking at Playa Escondida, or surfing Playa Santa Ana, the beaches exist for your pleasures.
Playa Santa Ana
Stretching out in front of Rancho Santana’s main clubhouse and running north well past the Puerta del Mar Villa site, Playa Santa Ana is a favorite surfing, swimming and fishing destination for residents and guests. For those who wish to enjoy a beach with the most amenities nearby, Playa Santa Ana meets those expectations.
Enjoy the spa and then immediately take a walk on Santa Ana beach. And for the less exercise-minded, you can enjoy cocktails at the clubhouse veranda and then stroll right onto Santa Ana beach. A nice horseshoe pit is parallel to the Santa Ana beach as well, where residents toss their best “shoe” with ocean waves crashing next to them.
Playa Rosada
This pristine beach got its name from its trademark pink sand "Rosada." It also boasts a world-class surf break and a clubhouse.
Playa Escondida
South of Playa Rosada lies Playa Escondida (“Hidden Beach”). Playa Escondida is a long stretch of uninterrupted sand that’s practically cut off from the rest of the world. Like Playa Rosada, it is landlocked within the Rancho Santana compound.
The nearby reef also makes Playa Escondida a favorite spot for snorkeling. It’s a favorite surf casting spot for some of Rancho Santana’s anglers, too.
But don’t worry about privacy. It’s not uncommon to have Playa Escondida all to yourself.
Playa Duna
Like playas Rosada and Escondida, this beach, too, is landlocked within the Rancho Santana compound. You know when you’re on this beach that very few people have ever been on it, and very few will ever be on it. You might want to skip your workout that day if you plan to go this beach, though. A fun spot of beach.
Playa Los Perros
If you like long quiet walks on the beach, Playa Los Perros is the spot for you. Like Playa Santa Ana to the north, our southernmost beach connects to a long stretch of uninterrupted coast — nearly four miles in this case. You can wander at your leisure with hardly an interruption.
Since there are no rocks along this beautiful white beach, it’s ideal for swimming. It’s also a favorite fishing spot for those in the know… but the area is sparsely populated, so crowds are never a problem.
Playa Los Perros is just north of two of the better-known surfing beaches in the area: Pangas Drops and Colorado. When you’re done sunning and swimming at Los Perros, just grab your board and hit the waves.
